ODs Host Legislative Fundraisers

In the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle, doctors of optometry generously opened their offices in December to host fundraisers for lawmakers who are campaigning for re-election. The profession was strongly represented by numerous doctors of optometry in attendance at the events. Many opened up their checkbooks and contributed to the candidates’ campaigns, as well.

Dr. Movses D’Janbatian hosted a fundraising reception for Assembly Member Mike Gatto in his Glendale office. Asm. Gatto  represents Assembly District 43 which stretches across Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz and Silver Lake. Doctors of optometry enjoyed chatting with Asm. Gatto in a social setting at the fundraiser. Thanks, Dr. D’Janbatian, for graciously hosting!

Dr. Robert  Mrs. Julie Grazian opened up their practice in Santee to hold a fundraiser for Assembly Member Brian Jones, who represents eastern San Diego County in Assembly District 71. Doctors from the COA San Diego County Optometric Society turned out in full force for this event. Thank you, Dr. and Mrs. Grazian, for being outstanding hosts!

Drs. Michael and Joshua Corben hosted a fundraiser for Assembly Member Scott Wilk in their Santa Clarita office.  Asm. Wilk represents Assembly District 38, which spans from Simi Valley to the Mojave Desert. The office was packed with doctors of optometry and other local supporters of Asm. Wilk. Thank you, Drs. Michael and Joshua Corben, for hosting a successful fundraiser!
