AOA Accepting Nominations for Paraoptometric Awards
Do you have an outstanding optometric staff? AOA wants you to nominate them for the paraoptometric awards! The two awards recognize optometric staff members for “outstanding and worthwhile contributions to both the profession and local community.” Just to be nominated can be a real boost to deserving staff members! Paraoptometric of the Year Award Nominees’ will be evaluated based on their service to optometry and paraoptometric associations, public service and personal endorsement. Nominees must be AOA associate members, not currently serving on the Paraoptometric Resource Center (PRC) Executive Committee. The honoree will receive a plaque, round-trip airfare to Optometry’s Meeting® 2016, three nights' lodging reimbursement and $500 to assist with travel expenses. Community Service Award Nominees will be evaluated based on their record of community service within the optometric practice in which he/she works, self- or practice-sponsored community service, as well as the individual’s personal and professional goals of community service. Nominees must be AOA associate members, not currently serving on the PRC Executive Committee. The honoree will receive a plaque of recognition, $100 personal cash award and $100 donated to the recipient’s charity of choice. Click here for a nomination form.
