AOA Teams Up with Postal Service to Raise Awareness on Eye Health

For the second consecutive year, AOA is partnering with the U.S. Postal Service in October and November to help postal workers and their families better understand their vision and eye health needs and get the most from their vision and eye health care benefits.

The Vision and Eye Health Wellness Program, through outreach efforts, offers information to help more than 600,000 postal workers and their families serving at some 32,000 locations.

For this program, AOA provided a PSA featuring President Andrea P. Thau, OD, a toolkit for Postal Service Occupational Health Services, webinar, brochures, PowerPoint presentation and posters. The program was a great success last year with more than 18 million recorded impressions.

The wellness program encourages USPS employees and their families to make healthy choices for eye and vision health, while embracing the need for comprehensive eye examinations. It will assist employees and their families in accessing available vision and eye health care benefits of the USPS health benefit programs.
