Jacqueline Theis, OD, FAAO
Dr. Theis is a Clinical Instructor at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and is the Chief of the newly founded UC Berkeley Sports Vision Clinic which provides research and clinical care in post-concussion vision problems and sports vision performance. She has residency training in binocular vision, neuro-optometry, and vision therapy and performs clinical research in partnership with UC Berkeley Intercollegiate Athletics and Sports Medicine in vision changes post-concussion. Dr. Theis works as a neuro-optometrist for Kaiser Permanente in San Rafael and Petaluma, treating patients with double vision and vision problems from systemic and neurological disease including stroke and traumatic brain injury. In addition, Dr. Theis works as a sports vision consultant, working with athletes and teams to enhance their performance. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association. She is a national lecturer in neuro-optometry and sports vision, and has a keen interest in understanding and improving visual performance.tometrist of the year.
